.......................................................................

Hajme Sabz artistic group began its cultural and artistic-visual activities in a small village in Qaemshahr in 2005. In these years it held more than 100 exhibitions and national festivals, published artistic magazine and communicated with university instructors with the use of group activities, university students and young artists.

The most important activity of the group is the creative movement of performing visual art in Iranian villages, which has an interactive look between artists and society in a different location.

A few significant points about "Rural art" programs

1. Up to now, these programs have been held in 66 villages in 11 provinces: Mazandaran, Kerman, Golestan, Gilan, Tehran, Booshehr, Chaharmahalo Bakhtiari, Ardebil, Kordestan, Khorasan and Lorestan.

2. More than 7000 villagers have participated in "Rural art" programs. 70 percent of these participants have been the children and young adults and more than 15 percent have been the people over 40 years old.

3. About 4000 paintings by children, young adults, men and women of villages exist in the archive of the group.

4. Rural art programs have always been a non-governmental organization (NGO). The artist and villagers have undertaken all the costs.

5. More than 400 visual artists have assisted the group in practical and research sections and this shows the importance of such off- center activities.

6. More than 60 works (painting, drawing, photo, and statue) have been dedicated to the secretariat of the rural art program by the artists from different parts of the country.

7. In addition to their activities, the group decided to ask villagers from different parts of country to send their works to the secretariat of rural art program in Qaemshahr. During this time villagers eagerly have sent their works to them especially from Mazandaran, Khorasan, Lorestan and Golestan.

8. A significant point to note is that there has been no problem during all these 32 programs with villagers or other people and they have always worked together in an intimate environment.

9. In addition to its visual art programs, "Hajme Sabz" artistic group have recorded the village's ancient places, their local customs and songs and their way of living.
